Fitz Roy National Park
What a beautiful and rewarding view I had after a challenging hike in the Fitz Roy National park, Patagonia. The return walk was 22km. The wind in Patagonia can be very strong. Expect to have four seasons in one day. In the end it is so worth it. Look at the stillness of this ice glacier lake and how it mirrors the snowcovered Fitz Roy mountains. Patagonia took my breath away.
Hello from Ushuaia
'Hello everyone', said this little penguin from the beagle channel in Argentina. You can take a boat trip from Ushuaia through the beagle channel and stop at this penguin island. The scenery with the snowcovered mountains in the background is just beautiful.
A beautiful day in Fitz Roy National Park in Patagonia.

A mother and her daughter watching the sunrise
Getting up early to see the beautiful sunrise is so worth it. I saw this mother with her daughter watching the sunrise and I couldn't help myself to take a photo as a silhouette of them. Shortly after the sunrise it started raining. What a lucky start of the day.

New York panorama
This NYC skyline panorama was taken from Brooklyn, Williamsburg. The gate was about to close but I could not leave New York without taking a photo of this colourful skyline. I was talking to myself that I will be fine. I quickly got my tripod and camera ready, steady go and shoot. I was a bit nervous in case I get locked in the park. I never took a photo that quickly. Lucky I made it just before the guards came to close the park.
The colours of the sunset blew me away. This Photo shows the trees from Gunnamatta bay in Cronulla, Sydney.

The vivid light festival 2016 in Sydney reflected some aboriginal themes on the opera house. Vivid is an event held each year at the end of May to mid June.

Bronte and the fishermen
The fishermen are watching the sunset while some storm clouds are on their way.
Ready for a morning swim in Cronulla? It was Good Friday when I was going down to Cronulla beach to take photos of the sunrise. Lucky the rain waited until my shooting finished. I was about to head home when I saw so many swimmers to enter the ocean. What a great way to start a day.
the colours of a sunrise
A few minutes just before the sunrise are the best. The clouds turn into red to orange. Watching a sunrise is spectacular.

Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca. The lake is 190km long and 3,800m above sea level.
It is always worthwhile to wander around and go to places where most of the tourists are not going. I had this beautiful arch from Lake Titicaca all to myself. Heaven for a photographer.

These are the residential huts from the Machu Picchu Inca site.
The slightly different sunrise at Machu Picchu. I did not know what to expect when waiting for the sunrise. Since Machu Picchu is almost always covered in clouds, I did not expect a sunrise until I saw the clouds being lit up by the sun.
Amazing view from Machu Picchu Inca site.

Machu Picchu is hiding behind the clouds.

I found this beautiful orange gazania flower on our way to the Inca trail in Peru.
Cusco from a window
This photo has been taken from a french restaurant in Cuzco. What came to my mind was: "Open the window, take a breath in and exhale, let your mind wander and you will see new opportunities knocking on your door."
Taquile Island tradition. The women are weaving. The men are wearing this colourful hat which tells you about their marital status. Single men wearing a white tip on what looks like a floppy night cap and those who have found a spouse sporting a far fancier model with tight lines of vivid patterns.
